Sami's New Bike

We decided Sami needed a big girls bike. It was a put together one from target. It didn't take Matt to long to figure out that the training wheels were on backwards. HAHAHA
Sami now takes both her trike and big bike outside to taunt the neighborhood kids.
When one girl goes to rides the trike she runs over to ride it. Then the same thing occurs with the other bike.
So in other words she tries to ride both at the same time.
I believe she takes after her dad mostly.

Today is a beautiful day here. I love it when the sun shines bright. It always makes me happier.
I went to WW this morning and lost 4.6lbs this past week YEAH!!!
This puts the total at 34.6lbs since Izzy was born. 7 more to have lost all baby weight. Well that is the third baby. Then I will start working on losing the weight from the first born.
I have been working on that off and on for 12 years now.
This time is different, this time it will all come off before the next child.
Then I'll start all over agian.
This sounds like a never ending cycle with me. Similar to the crazy cycle of realationships. Without love for her she won't respect him, without respect for him he won't love her. Around and around we go when will we stop, nobody knows.

Distraction

Matthew and I went to the Jason Boland and the Stragglers concert last night. It was a much needed distraction from life.
We were at the worlds largest Honky Tonk, Billy Bob's. It has a rodeo arena, cassino, 2-dance floors, gift shop, billards area. My ears are still ringing. We sat right in front of the speakers.Jason and Noah on stage
The fiddler player for this band is Matt's friend from highschool. We got back stage passes. Awesome! We went into this back room were all the bands that have played at Billy Bob's sign the wall.  part of the signed wall
Incredable experience! I could become a groupie.Nay i have other resposiblity's. this is Noah's personal band he is working on making it big.

On a last note all our prayers are with Johnny and his family.
We love you guys

Sadness is lingering

Overwhelming sadness has sunk deep into my soul. My thoughts are on the tragedy on hand. Jake and Marsha are facing such tremdous grief. Little Johnny is fighting hard to ward off the infection. I am praying little Johnny makes it. I know the Lord can do great things. I keep praying for God's will to be done.

A day's end

My mother has always wanted to write a book about life, about our family. It got me thnking, not too hard of course, that with this blog it could be my diary. Maybe a cataloge of events that I can grab bits and pieces from to create a best seller. Best seller might be grasping at straws, although I remember being taught "go for the impossible, sometimes it's within your reach." I do love all the old sayings and phrases my parents use. For instance here are a few that Matt laughs at were I come up with these. Cotton pickin kids, duck butter (the goop in the corner of your eyes). Now you know that we really are crazy and silly. You may be thinking were in the world would have someone come up with that ridiculous saying. I don't know, niether does anyone in the family. It makes me smile from ear to ear just to remence over child hood memories. Life is all about creating memories because when you are old and gray thats all we will have left. All the possesions and riches the world can not compare to the happiness, dissapointment or sadness we have experienced. You are probally thinking why sadness or disappointment, all these things make up who we are. I can not help contiplating that without sadness true happiness couldn't be truely apperciated. Am I on the wrong track?
Well my time is now up. Izzy is awake and wanting food, Sami is now wide eyed and bushy tailed, wanting breakfast. I rolled out of bed at 6am wanting a little time for myself, drink a cup of joe and blog. Ok so I don't get out of bed for only myself, Izzy of course woke up for feeding. Really have to sign off now, Sami is demanding peanut butter and jelly for breakfast. These girls don't have much patience when they are hungry.

fabulous new hair

I had a ton of errands to run today. On my list was a haircut, I was so thankful I started to talk to Jill, after WW, about a good stylist. She told me about this guy named Bill, that a few ladies on Heritage website raved about. There is defentily a reason! I said I had no idea what to do with this hair of mine. He comed out my hair looked it over then and started telling me what needed to be done. I said great not really having any idea what I was agreeing to. But I love it! It fun and funky. easy to do, light and airy. I will gefintly go back to this man. Thank You JILL!!!!

Main st.

Saturday the Rinard clan embarked in on a journey of fun and creativity. We went to the main st art festival in downtown Fort Worth. This festival is ranked third in the nation. It was 9 city blocks long. Wow what  great time we had. The were tons of food vendors, art exibits and fun stuff for the kids to do. Be very proud of me, I did not partake in any food items there. I only had a diet coke.

Not my fault, this time

We have gone through another dog. No i didn't step on this one, although he didn't always move out of my way. Matty wanted to get a friend for Mater. Rambo turned out to be a lazy dog, not really interested in being Mater playmate. Also he growled and nipped at Sami. I have found him a home. She sounds very nice on the phone and so excited that she could have him. She is a single woman with no kids. Good fit. She is coming tomorrow after work to pick him up.
Good night

7 weeks

It has been 7 weeks since Izzy was born. What an amazing time it has been, but we are now back into our normal routine. Monday I usually clean house because we have small group at our house. Still studing the Love and Respect book. The author repeats himself alot, and since I have read ahead by 5 chapters I am getting a little bored. I have stopped reading the book and waiting for the group to catch up. Tuesday and Thursday are art and learning day. Sami and I are reading, dancing and learning. I have to have alot of paitience. Only small intervals of drilling her about numbers and letters. If I have a bag of M & M's colors are no problem. hehe Weds. I attend BSF (bible study fellowship international). The girls have preschool, studing the same material as me, while I attend the study. I am going through the gospel of John. I am diving into the word of God. Each week is a new opportunity for God to speak to me. It puts me at ease. Fri. the girls and I head to the church in the morning to help stuff the back of the chairs. Great ladies have welcomed me in as part of their group. After serving our church we head to playgroup. I have made some wonderful friends in the preschool group. We go to parks, McDonalds, jump houses, althought Sami is terrified of jump houses.

BBQ not working

The family went to Jill's for a BBQ on Easter. Although the bbq was not wanting to work for Tom. He fiddled and fiddled with that thing. Matt was also out there trying to help out. Finially the BBQ started they have no idea what they did. So the day was saved. We had chicken tacos. They were fabulous! we aslo celebrated Dylans birthday. He turned 16, or will be 16 on this weds. All in all it was a nice day.
Today is back to the same old same nothing to do. Ok there is laundry. The laundry seems to never end in this house. With little Izzy spitting up all the time, we go through several bibs and blankets a day. After a couple of days I have run out of those items. So the laundry starts up again. It's a crazy cycle that goes round and round.

Gavin is sick today with a stomach bug. Poor little guy. He called me at midnight last night throwing up. He had to self medicate, because I wasn't there, or he isn't here. I told him to get a cold wash cloth for his forehead. I was informed they do not have wash clothes or hand towels in that household. So we imporvised, he got a sock and got it wet. Gotta do what you have to in these sistuations.

Zoo, Money, Jersulem

Well what  aweek we have had here in Texas. Gavin finially arrived safe and sound, after a long day of flying. It was an awesome week with him here. I know I haven't been on here in a week, so I'll sum up what we have been doing.
Sunday was a great day at church, then we went to cheddars for lunch. It is really good food. Although they do not provide nutriention info, because everything is homemade. That is Cheddars explanation of this. I had to estimate my points value for the chix sand. I had. I said 15, now keep in mind I only get 27 points a day. The rest of the day was rationing for me, hahaha. Matt Gavin got the Philly steak sand, boy did that look good. Jill came with us, none of the rest of the family.Tom, Abby and Hannah were at Hannahs practice. I have no idea were the boys were.
Monday was uneventfull, just living life. We did have small group in the evening went very well. We are enjoying the study. We are learning and growing in all our realationshiops, including friendships.
Tuesday Jill and I and the kids went to weight watchers. Which Jill and I are at the same weight loss 10.8lbs. It was funny. They saw when you do this with a friend, or relative you have a competion. Up till now Jill was always wining, dang her. I have lost a total of 25lbs since Izzy was born. I am exicited, I am starting to fit back into my clothes. I hope pretty soon I'll have no clothes. That would be an awesome feeling. Then after WW we all went shopping then ate at Applebees. Yummy Stuff.
On weds. Matt took the day off to go to the zoo with us. We went to the fort worth zoo. It is a very neat zoo. Tons of picnic areas to bring in your own food. lots of animals that I've never seen before. It took us three hours to walk though it. They have a living museum of creatures. The biggest python ever, aligators, crodiles, lions, tigers bears oh my haha. Sami was scared of the big animals. She had the death grip on her Daddy.
Thursday the kids and I went to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Wow the make 526 billion dallors a day. Most of it is to replace old and worn out notes. The largest note made now adays, since 1945 is the $100 note. Largest note ever was the $1000 note. They stopped production in 1945 and took completly out of circulation in 1967. Half the factory was blocked off due to the new $100 note being released on April 21st. It will not be put into circulation just yet though. The tour guide was a great lady. She took to Sami right away. At the end she found some free samples for Gavin and Sami. Sami got $120 in $10 notes, Sherdded. Gavin got $60 in $5 notes, sherdded, plus all the brocheres and pamphlets she could find t stuff in a bag. We all enjoyed this experience. I think Gavin learned the most. I didn't pay to close attention or maybe I just don't remember well at all any more, either way he is a pretty smart little guy.
Our friends from church invited us to go to this Jerselum Market place. They really didnt know what is was going to entail, but it was free. So we all pilled in the car, at rush hour, to drive 1 1/2 hours to this church. It was amazing!!! It was set up as a real town with tons of people dresses up. The also had a store that you could dress up as well. The kids, well Sami dressed up. As we were going through this town there was an on going play throughout depicting Jesus' last days and crucification. There was food to sample, pottery to make and jewlery. It lasted 2 hours. We are so glad that we went. Matty was tired and did not want to drive that far, but he did cause I wanted to go.
Friday wasn't very eventfull. All we did was get a new dog. He looks just like mater. His name is Rambo, he is 2 years old. He likes me best. Can you imagine, me? haha we all laugh. He must of been the womans dog. He seems to be working out just fine. He has dominated over Mater. He is defintly the boss. Matt really wanted to get Mater a friend. I am not sure what we are going to do if we end up going to Idaho for that week. We gotta take the kids, but no dogs allowed. Good delema, I guess Matt can stay here. Haha They are his babies.
Saturaday was Sami's birthday party. I put together a Tea Party with serval little girls. We had cupcakes and orange spice tea. Yummy. Then we made necklaces, braclets, or a mess.
This morning we had to put Gavin on the plane back to Idaho. He did not want to go at all. He was crying all he way through airport security. It tugs at a moms heart strings, I want hime here so bad. I can not understand if his father loved hi why he would put him through such torment and not let him come here and live. It has almost been an entire school year and he still maintains, that here with his momma is where he wants to be. There is the promise from his dad that he can come here for the next school year. Gavin thinks its a lie to calm him down, I am hoping that a miracle will happen.
